Race report from Eye Spy

We duly fronted up at the club for Shipwright 5. As it turned out there was alot of other things on this weekend so Nona and Eye Spy were the fleet. Nona started 2 minutes ahead as the Mark-foy handicaps dictated and we tacked all the way to Kauri point. Eye spy was a little quicker through the tacks as we had four on board. Nona had just two. Kauri point and Nona had fallen into a hole. I saw a small finger of breeze past the point and caught it to get about 400 meters ahead. Then it happened...............nothing. We sat and drifted around for approx an hour. Lovely day for it tho.......others obviously thought the same and were anchored fishing. Those of the female persuasion with very little on......not that I was lookin eh. Enough was enough and Nona made contact with me before a likely contact with the wharf at Kauri point. "The ginger beer is getting warm" she said. We are pulling the pin..........
Sails packed up on the way back to the mooring and had a cold rummy at the club by fourish.
How many races did we complete over summer? Seems like very few..........
